Inspired by Tove Jansson’s Moomin universe, PAN Treetop Cabins, designed by the architect Espen Surnevik, aim to an experience that fully captures the beauty and greatness of the Norwegian nature. A low impact architecture that represents the return to what has been the man’s way of life for a thousand years, marked by contact with nature and powered by the attraction to what is alive and inviolate.
The basic concept is that Nature itself and the fauna that populates it welcomes the human being, as to peacefully accept its non-destructive presence, perfectly aware of the beauty they have to offer.
That of Espen Surnevik is a small architecture that happens suddenly, like all things in life; in nature, in the places where today we come back to reason about humanity and respect of Mother Earth; where thinking becomes authentic and has the scent of the pristine landscape.
